What do I do?

I am an Executive Director for Community Link.

I have worked in management for over 20 years and in non-profit operations for 13 of those. I have a bachelor’s in business administration and am Project+ certified. Now as Executive Director, I have the responsibility for developing the vision, goals, and strategy for Community Link as we continue to grow from a food pantry to a large social service agency working to end hunger and poverty in Northwest Tarrant County.

My time is split between supporting fellow directors, program managers and staff across the organization to implement organizational goals and build relationships with other agencies as we collaborate in the fight to end poverty. Helping people move from instability to self-sufficiency is my passion. Raising my children as a single mother and navigating the confusing web of local assistance programs has given me the passion to one day create strong collaborative communities not silos in the social service industry.

Who am I?

Away from work I spend time with my family and have two granddaughters that are my reason for breathing. I was not prepared for the amazing little humans my daughter brought into our lives. I love to quilt, camp, binge watch crime shows and have a desire to learn Spanish. Grateful every day that I have a job that I love and coworkers that keep me humble.

What do I do?

I am an Executive Director at Community Link.

When I arrived at Community Link in 2019, I found a great organization with tons of potential.  I have worked hard to build relationships and raise funds that will make a significant impact in our community.  I love meeting with different people, companies, foundations, and churches to see how they might partner with Community Link to help us live out the mission of the organization.  I am passionate about thinking outside of the box with the goal of promoting and finding support for Community Link.  If you want to learn more about Community Link and what it means to be a partner, please reach out to me.

I hail from Newnan, Georgia (home of country singer Alan Jackson). I graduated from Samford University and Baylor University. At Baylor, I met my wife, Dr. Amanda Wilson Harper.  I am an active member of AFP (Association of Fundraisers – Fort Worth) and recently obtained the CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification.

Who am I?

I am an extreme extrovert who is always open to new adventures. These days, I enjoy traveling and seeing the world through my daughter’s eyes. I enjoy good food, concerts, conversation, stand-up comedy, and even some reality television.
