Lasting change happens when we come together — each of us playing a part in something bigger than ourselves. When we join forces, we build a stronger community, one act of kindness at a time.
Be part of this lasting impact and help create a legacy of hope in our community!
1 in 7 seniors in Texas experiences food insecurity — one of the highest rates in the nation.
Here in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, nearly 1 in 5 older adults struggles to afford enough nutritious food.
These are neighbors who worked their entire lives. Parents. Grandparents. Veterans. Caregivers.
Now, many are living on fixed incomes that simply do not stretch far enough to cover groceries, housing costs, and medical expenses.
When the paycheck stops, the bills do not.
Last year alone, Community Link served more than 22,000 families and nearly 80,000 individuals in Northwest Tarrant County — many of them seniors living on fixed incomes.
For seniors in our community, even small increases in cost create big consequences.
Your Legacy Circle Leadership Makes This Possible
Through strong community partnerships and faithful leadership support, your generosity provides meaningful, measurable impact.
$50 provides two full weeks of nutritious groceries for a senior living on a fixed income.
$100 provides two weeks of groceries for a grandparent raising their grandchildren
$500 and above strengthens our year-round capacity to serve seniors and families in need.
Be A Part of The Legacy
We are honored to continue the legacy of Karen Fuller, who dedicated over 15 years to leading Community Link.
Your generous Legacy Circle gift ensures seniors in Northwest Tarrant County have reliable access to nutritious food, easing worry and supporting their independence.
Thank you for carrying forward the spirit of service Karen Fuller faithfully modeled for our community.
The Community Link Legacy Circle honors our recently retired Executive Director, Karen Fuller, whose leadership has impacted countless lives in our community.
Over fifteen years ago, Karen Fuller was invited to observe the way Community Link served the community. What she saw that day changed her life. She described it as coming out of a bubble, and she felt something that has become a mantra for Community Link supporters over the years:
“Once you know something, you have to do something.”
Fifteen years later, Karen has retired as Community Link Executive Director and leaves a legacy that has changed our community forever. Karen’s vision, tenacity, and compassion became the engine that created an opportunity for countless in our community to overcome poverty, providing services to more than 22,000 families and nearly 80,000 individuals last year through access to food, family and mental health counseling, and long-term case management for our neighbors in need.
To continue the legacy of Karen’s service, people like you who help make this all possible are joining together to form the Legacy Circle — a group of like-minded neighbors who are committed to helping families find a long-term path to hope out of poverty.
