If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must sign a waiver before you volunteer. You may bring a signed waiver (CLICK HERE) or sign a waiver when you arrive. A minor volunteer, age 13-16, must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to volunteer in the pantry per our Board of Directors.
There is a tablet on the table in the back for volunteers to clock in and out. It is important that you clock in and out as we need to know who is in the building at all times.
There is a volunteer registration link (see above) where volunteers must sign up to volunteer and then pick the shifts they are available to work. There are morning and afternoon shifts available. You must sign up before you volunteer, it is very helpful to us to know who is volunteering and when!
Please dress in a comfortable, yet appropriate manner for a family friendly environment. In the warehouse you must wear closed-toe shoes. Please do not wear perfume or strong scents to the pantry due to several highly allergic volunteers.
Community service must be pre-arranged prior to coming to volunteer the first time. If you are here for community service hours, you must inform Karen or Lara of your arrival and departure so they can sign your hours off.
Please do not take food from the warehouse home for personal use without permission from Karen Fuller. We are under contract with TAFB\USDA to not take food for our personal consumption.
Please park on the north side of the building or on the street or in the large church parking lot on Anderson Street. Please do not park in the spaces directly in front of our building, as those are for our clients.
