Lettuce celebrate the first round of transplants onto the wall panels! On Friday, August 22nd we placed the sprouts into the panels to allow them to grow big and full for the next 4 weeks. It was a BIG win for us and The Lettuce Shack. Our legacy, Karen Fuller was able to assist in the process which made it even more special.
The goal is to have fully grown lettuce by North Texas Giving Day on September 18th. We are so proud of our staff, Whitney Berry, Lara Fuller and Meghan Williams for working tirelessly to make this happen. From monitoring the farm around-the-clock to fixing every issue big or small.
The growing doesn’t stop here! As we transplanted our very first round of lettuce, we also kicked off seeding for round two. Each step forward brings us closer to nourishing our community, and we can’t wait to see the impact The Lettuce Shack will make.
