Thanks to a generous $20,000 matching gift from The Pigman Family Charitable Fund, your gift will have twice the impact. Your $50 gift will become $100—enough to provide two weeks’ worth of groceries for a family of four.

Elisa and her husband are raising three growing girls, ages 14, 7 and 4. Her husband works as a driver, but with the rising cost of groceries, gas and other necessities, Community Link helps their family stretch what they have a little further.
“It helps fill the gaps,” Elisa shared.
She especially appreciates being able to bring home fresh fruits and vegetables for her daughters.
“We even receive organic things like lettuce they grow themselves,” she said. “I’m happy to come here and be able to get fruits and vegetables for my house.”

The Need in Northwest Tarrant County
Hunger is closer than many realize. According to the latest Map the Meal Gap study:
- 1 in 4 children across North Texas face food insecurity.
- More than 506,000 children across Dallas-Fort Worth are experiencing food insecurity.
- Nearly 1.4 million people across the region don’t always have reliable access to enough food.
At Community Link, we see the people behind those numbers every day: working parents, children, seniors and neighbors whose budgets simply aren’t stretching far enough.
Community Link currently has the capacity to serve approximately 160 families each day, while demand can exceed 300 families daily.
Your gift helps close that gap so more of our neighbors can receive the food they need.
Fresh Food for Families Like Elisa’s
A full plate should include more than canned goods. Community Link provides families with meat, eggs, bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other foods they can use to prepare nutritious meals at home.
Through FreshLink Farms, Community Link also grows fresh produce locally. Last year, the hydroponic farm provided more than 5,000 heads of lettuce for families visiting the food pantry.
That’s one of the things Elisa appreciates most.
“I’ve visited other food pantries where they want to give you canned items,” she shared. “Because of the fresh vegetables, I’m happy to come here.”
